AC is for his older brother, actually both of his brother have the same initials. Due the circumstances, it is David’s way of showing him that he is in his thoughts and that he loves him. Simple as that.

David is such a talented songwriter. It is not easy to write your own lyrics and he has been doing this since high school. AI has a real gem on their show and to get this far out of over 100,000 auditions speaks for itself. Now it is up to everyone else to keep him there. First of all just wrting all the emotions you have to go through just to figure out what words you want to write down and then sharing..I just recently shared one song that I wrote with friends and family. I love David, and no other alternative rocker has captured me like he has. I’m from the old school of classic rock and most of the newer bands haven’t done that much for me emotionally even though I like some of the music very much.

David has so much emotion and he’s not afraid to show it, and that’s what sets him apart, besides his beautiful tone.

I don’t care if he wins AI, I’m already a fan for life. I was thinking there isn’t going to be anyone around worth paying to see once the classic rockers start touring, but now there’s David Cook!

Has the vocal range to be a commercial success while also sounding original with his own unique style. As long as he takes the best of what he does and looks for the best of whatever else is out there (song writer wise) he could and should have a long and successful career. However, we can say that we are all huge fans of DC and are doing everything we can to promote him and bring attention to him, his life, his music, and his quest to become the next American Idol. If I could find Analog Heart for sale I would buy it–no question. The songs being offered here are not going to affect the bottom line for DC because the poor guy can not even sell his CD anymore and when his career takes off like Daughtry, I can promise you that he is not going to care that songs were available for download on this site. The other tragedy is that I have little confidence that his CD will be available for sale after Idol, and we all know (and I am sad to say this) that Analog heart WILL be superior to the crap that 19 Entertainment or Clive Davis forces David to sing on his ‘Idol’ album. You do know that they force them to record crap that was written by what they call ‘pro’ songwriters–they don’t give a rats-a$$ if the person has songwriting skills themselves. So, I feel fortunate that I can find songs from the REAL David Cook here on this awesome site. I will support DC in anyway that the b*st*rds on idol will allow–so don’t freak out about music being available here. WhatsUp, if you can provide me with a way to purchase Analog Heart, then post the link–otherwise, SHUT-up and troll somewhere else.

Bottom line is that this site is for the fans of DAVID COOK to express themselves and to hear his awesome voice so that we can then turn around and PROMOTE his CD to everyone we know… so IF AND WHEN it ever is available to buy again, then it will be sure to sell like crazy…. We are here to promote and support him, so taking away his songs or editing them makes no sense… I am sure he would be glad to know how much interest there is in his music right now and that many of us are dying to get a copy of Analog Heart, but CANNOT due to the powers that be at Idol…

The only point I disagree with RSD about is that I think after he wins Idol this year (fingers crossed) that they are actually going to give him creative control of the CD and let him write his own songs!!! Since the last two Idols CD sales have been weak as hell and they probably spent more on Taylor than he ever made off of him!!! (LOL) The point is that David is talented and will make them millions, as long as they play it right and let him do his thing.. can you imagine how P.O.ed they were when DAUGHTRY went on to sell 3+ Million and got nominated for 4 Grammy awards? You can tell they have been waiting to find other “Chris” and they know they have found that same superstar quality in David Cook and I highly doubt they are going to make the same mistake twice and let him get away.. I say Congrats to Chris Daughtry for making it so big and now let’s get out EVERY WEEK and vote for David so he can be on his way to becoming a rock star! Both Chris and David are super talented and I wish them both the best of luck at whatever they do and hope that it involves giving us fans even more kick ass rock music to listen to!!!

Hey, I just have to say thanks for the heads up about finding Analog Heart on Amazon. Just downloaded the whole album! DC is truly stunning. DC is all I have listened to for the last three weeks. This website rocks!

No, it ain’t. David’s album is only availabe in the US through Amazon. As an international fan (and a giant lover of his pre-Idol music), I’d be crushed if that was my only way to get his songs.
Still hoping to get “The Truth”. The Axium albums as well, and much appreciation for you guys for letting us know he’s such an amazing artist in his own right.

Try this link. You will see David performing The Truth LIVE on a TV Travel network to promote his Tulsa show, I believe it was in 2007. He looks great, and he sings it very well. International people should be able to view the website.

i’ve liked all the songs from analog heart, but i have to say, the truth, really blew me away. it’s a great sound and a great message. i think david’s voice sounds better on that song than on any of the other previously recorded stuff i’ve heard of his. living in the midwest can make it hard, not impossible, but difficult for a singer to be discovered. how david fell through the cracks is amazing to me. we have AI to thank for giving him the exposure that is so long overdue him. like paula said, david is going to be a “great shining star.” big thanks to the DC Fan team for bringing us all this great music…. even though you made us wait so long for the truth… the wait was well worth it.

I love all of David Cook’s music. I have about five playlists, one of which is named David Cook and has all of his music I could get my hands on: AI, Analog Heart, The Story thus Far, Blindsided, and creep. It’s almost all I listen to. His voice makes my chest hurt - I am so addicted. And he is a really good song writer. Instead of getting bored with his music, it just grows and grows and grows on me.

Every time I try to make a list of my favorites, I can’t because there are just too many. I don’t think one album is better than the other, although his Axium stuff is a little softer which I like on David.

This morning I played “The Truth” from Analog Heart, a really well written song (as they all are) about 10 times in a row. I love, love, love the way David sings the line:

Sometimes I listen to creep 10 times in a row. I Love how he is so casual about it and the vocals in the last half just kill me.
